Our client’s hotel is set just outside picturesque Midhurst, on the border between Surrey and West Sussex. Due to the location; you would be required to have your own transport.
Your role as a Hotel Receptionist:
Greet all guests promptly in a courteous and friendly manner
Organise customers check-in and check-out
Allocate rooms and issue appropriate keys
Have a good knowledge of the hotel’s services and facilities
The successful Hotel Receptionist will have:
An ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
A good command of the English language
Fluent English both verbally and written
Previous experience within the hospitality industry

Workplace description: Located in Horton-in-Ribblesdale in the heart of Yorkshire’s ‘Three Peaks,’ this hotel is the perfect place for a well earned pint and delicious home cooked food. The hotel has been a free house for the last 26 years and our three public bars all provide traditional hand pulled ales. Awards for the keeping of the beer include CAMRA pub of the season and Theakston grand master trophy for winning the award of excellence on three occasions. Lager, Cider, Guinness and keg beer are also provided.
Main duties and responsibilities: To prepare food items in accordance with the business demands and produce dishes to the standard set by the company and yourself.
To order, check in and correctly store all food items in accordance with the law, observing quantity, quality, size and price as agreed by the company, hotel and yourself.
Be responsible for regular checks of temperature of cooked and refrigerated foods in accordance with the law.
To obey all rules and laws of health, safety and hygiene.
To be responsible for drawing up and maintaining of records for temperature checks, HASAP’s, COSHH, RIDAR within the department.
To rota staff ensuring sufficient shift cover at all times.
To assist in recruitment, induction, training of new staff in the department.
Planning and implementing of new menus including costing and recipes.
To aim to achieve or improve upon the budgeted GP.
Ensure food stocks are to the required level placing orders where necessary.
Drive the business forward by producing high quality food and the efficient running of the kitchen.
To undertake any other reasonable request made by management.
Essential criteria: The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and the passion and desire to continue developing this thriving business. You must also have experience of working in a similar standard establishment, catering for numerous covers on busy days.
