We are currently recruiting for an experienced, motivated and driven Head Chef to join our client's team based at this site in Slough, Berkshire.With approx. 1000 people on site, the kitchen produces freshly prepared food for the staff restaurant as well as providing food for 2 other buildings and hospitality. The site can be busy with a grab & go and deli bar as well as the usual hot mains. As the Head Chef, you will be part of a team of 9 in total and work closely with the General Manager. You will be fully responsible for the running of the kitchen ensuring a high level of standard as well as ensuring HACCP and compliance are followed and you will be expected to take ownership of the kitchen pushing and driving it forward. With a genuine passion for good fresh food, you will produce an exciting menu with up to date food trends and concepts as well as be involved with the food for the company's events such as BBQs and seasonal events.You will also need to be adaptable in order to take on the challenges that catering for multiple buildings involves whilst remaining calm with the ability to work round issues and problem solve.Working hours are Monday to Friday only, approx. 40 hours per week.Our ideal candidate for this role would- be a motivated, driven, passionate and experienced Head Chef with a progressive proven career background- ideally have worked within contract catering, corporate catering or similar- have held a Head Chef or Exec Chef position- be able to lead, manage and develop a team, taking full control and responsibility for the kitchen- be able to work well in a team as well as lead from the front- be able to work closely with the General Manager to drive the business forward- be genuinely passionate about food as well as up to date with latest food trends/concepts- be financially aware and able to manage costs- be able to problem solve and think logically- be friendly and willing with a positive can do attitudeThis is a great opportunity for a Head Chef to join an expanding site and take on a real challenge.
