Head Chef<br>Based predominantly in Lancaster, with some regional support<br>£38,000 - £42,000<br>52 Weeks<br>About Us:<br>We are supporting our client who manage a prestigious group of education campuses, committed to providing their students, faculty, and staff with an exceptional on-campus dining experience.<br>They pride themselves on creating vibrant, nutritious, and diverse culinary offerings that cater to a variety of tastes and dietary needs.<br>They are currently seeking a seasoned and innovative Head Chef to oversee the culinary operations within the main campus in Lancaster and also support the various other campuses.<br>Responsibilities:<br>Based predominately at the Lancaster campus, whilst supporting and overseeing all culinary operations across multiple campuses dining facilities.<br>Develop and implement diverse, nutritious, and delicious menus for each university while maintaining a consistent quality standard across the group.<br>Lead, mentor, and inspire the team of chefs within the main campus whilst guiding and supporting across all locations. Always encouraging creativity and professionalism.<br>Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations in all kitchens.<br>Manage food and labour costs, maintaining efficiency and quality.<br>Coordinate with suppliers and manage ingredient sourcing, prioritizing local and sustainable produce.<br>Work closely with the management team to develop strategies for continuous improvement in our dining services.<br>Collaborate with university administrators to cater to special events, dietary requirements, and allergy considerations.<br>Implement innovative culinary practices that align with the evolving needs of a diverse university community.<br>Qualifications:<br>Degree or certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a reputable institution.<br>Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef, with significant experience in large-scale, institutional food service management.<br>Demonstrated knowledge of a wide variety of cuisines and a strong understanding of dietary considerations.<br>Excellent leadership skills with a track record of training and developing a high-performing kitchen staff.<br>Strong budgeting and cost management skills.<br>Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.<br>Impeccable hygiene and sanitation standards.<br>What they Offer:<br>Competitive salary and benefits package.<br>A supportive, professional, and growth-oriented work environment.<br>The opportunity to shape the dining experience of our vibrant university communities.<br>If you are passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment, and have a desire to make a significant impact on the dining experience in an academic setting, we invite you to apply.
