Job Description

As a Waiter, you play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. You are an ambassador of our restaurant and are instrumental in creating a positive and memorable atmosphere for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service:
    • Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
    • Assist customers in choosing menu items and answering questions about the menu.
    • Provide attentive and personalized service, ensuring guest needs are met promptly.
  2. Order Taking:
    • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Relay orders to the kitchen staff, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are communicated.
  3. Food and Beverage Service:
    • Serve meals and drinks to guests with attention to detail and presentation.
    • Ensure all orders are complete, correct, and meet quality standards.
    • Monitor tables and promptly remove empty dishes and glassware.
  4. Table Setting and Maintenance:
    • Set tables with clean and properly arranged utensils, dishes, and glassware.
    • Keep tables and dining areas clean, tidy, and ready for the next guests.
    • Assist with basic restaurant cleaning tasks as needed.
  5. Billing and Payment:
    • Present bills to customers and handle payment transactions accurately.
    • Provide assistance with splitting checks or processing various payment methods.
  6. Knowledge of the Menu:
    • Stay informed about the menu items, daily specials, and any changes.
    • Be able to make recommendations based on customer preferences.
  7. Customer Feedback:
    • Listen to and address customer concerns, inquiries, and special requests.
    • Ensure guest satisfaction and handle any issues with professionalism and courtesy.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is preferred but not always required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
