      Job Description
    As a Hostess at VKD Hospitality, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Your primary role is to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the front-of-house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception:
- Warmly greet and welcome guests as they enter the venue.
- Utilizing Sevenrooms to manage the waitlist and reservations efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
 
- Reservation Management:
- Take and confirm reservations over the phone or through online platforms.
- Maintain an organized reservation system and communicate effectively with the serving staff.
 
- Seating Arrangements:
- Ensure efficient and fair seating rotation for servers.
- Accommodate special requests and preferences whenever possible.
 
- Communication:
- Coordinate with the serving staff, kitchen, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate wait times and special instructions to guests.
 
- Guest Assistance:
- Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests they may have.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer-oriented with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus.
- The position may require standing for extended periods and working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
