As a Hostess at VKD Hospitality, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Your primary role is to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the front-of-house.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reception:
   • Warmly greet and welcome guests as they enter the venue.
   • Utilizing Sevenrooms to manage the waitlist and reservations efficiently.
   • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
2. Reservation Management:
   • Take and confirm reservations over the phone or through online platforms.
   • Maintain an organized reservation system and communicate effectively with the serving staff.
3. Seating Arrangements:
   • Ensure efficient and fair seating rotation for servers.
   • Accommodate special requests and preferences whenever possible.
4. Communication:
   • Coordinate with the serving staff, kitchen, and management to ensure smooth operations.
   • Communicate wait times and special instructions to guests.
5. Guest Assistance:
   • Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
   • Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests they may have.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer-oriented with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus.
• The position may require standing for extended periods and working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
