Job overview This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive Outpatient Department at Royal National Ear Nose Throat & Eastman Dental Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious person to be part of a busy outpatient team providing administrative support to the clinical staff and patients. Applicants should have experience working in a face-to-face customer focused role, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience of working in a health care setting. You will be a team player with a flexible approach to work to meet the demands of the department. Please note our clinic sessions operate from Monday to Friday – 0800 – 1630, 0845 – 1715 and 1100-1930 (Tuesday to Thursday). You are advised not to delay submitting your completed application. Main duties of the job The role of a receptionist is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team working in a clinical setting. The post holder is required to welcome patients and visitors into the department, answering any queries and providing reassurance when needed. The Receptionist supports clinical colleagues in ensuring that the department runs smoothly and efficiently, dealing with complex operational issues that arise. The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative team and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers.
