Job Description
- Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
- Assist with the mise-en-place for the Outlet opening and closing, monitor and ensure the completion of all related tasks properly and within the time allocated
- Make sure the Outlet is clean and well maintained at all times and coordinate with relevant team(s) when needed
- Coordinate with the chef and/or the kitchen team.
- Coordinate with Bar Manager.
- Display deep knowledge of the menus, take orders, and communicate details to the kitchen team
- Upsell additional items from the menu when appropriate to increase revenue
- Welcome and greet guests, escort them to their tables and inform them about the different promotions offered
- Make reservations, work closely with the hostess to assign tables, and manage waitlisted guests
- Assign employees’ breaks and make sure waiters do not leave their assigned section and are alert
- Take responsibility for exceptional service in the assigned area, follow up on guests’ special orders, check that waiters place orders correctly and deliver them to the right tables
- Monitor the billing procedure ensuring it is thorough, correct, and signed
- Train newcomers and follow up on the development of the service team as per the outlet standards
