The Nice Guy hiring Bartender/Barmaid at Dubai, United Arab Emirates

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide consistent quality following recipes provided, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards.
• Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant
• Helping guests be aware of and choose menu items, taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their visit
• Communicate with guests with enthusiasm and make them feel appreciated through displayed actions
• Work in collaboration with other bar staff to keep the bar area cleaned; and stick to company’s standards at all times
• Receive cash payment from guests and give them change when appropriate
• Arrange glasses and bottles to maintain an attractive display in agreement with bar standards
• Sterilize and wash stemware when necessary
• Reach out to guests and offer assistance to them before they request for it
• Place current bar tabs in front of guests all the time
• Anticipate guest’s needs and follow the “Half-full” rule when offering another drink
• Be at full alert to guest signals, such as when they are raising their hands or looking directly at you, for orders
• Endeavor to know regular guests by names, occupations, and favorite drinks
• Provide a courteous, professional, attentive, and efficient service at all times with all departments and customers
• Attend and contribute to all staff briefings and other related activities
• Maintain the level of inventory as per the bar standard

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in similar position
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Good knowledge on beverage and food
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
