Job Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining quality and service standards, driving revenue, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent service and guest satisfaction.

Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales targets and controlling costs.

Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety standards in line with Dubai Municipality and UAE food safety regulations.

Handle guest complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain a positive customer experience.

Monitor inventory, order supplies, and oversee stock control to minimize waste and optimize resources.

Assist with staff scheduling and maintaining adequate staffing levels.

Support in implementing marketing and promotional activities to drive business growth.

Maintain the restaurant’s ambiance, cleanliness, and overall appearance.

Prepare daily reports, including sales, labor, and other performance metrics, and submit them to the Restaurant Manager.

Step in for the Restaurant Manager during their absence to ensure business continuity.
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role in a restaurant environment (standalone restaurant experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage service, and customer service best practices.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse team.

Familiarity with UAE labor laws, food safety, and hygiene regulations.

Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.

Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
