*WAITERS AND WAITRESSES NEEDED FOR BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT IN BAHRAIN*

Job Purpose 

The Waiter/Waitress play a key role in **** by providing the finest personalised service, which is achieved by adhering to food & beverage standards, engaging with our guests and creating memorable experiences for them. 

Relationships

1.    Reports functionally to the Restaurant Manager.

2.    Communicates and cooperates with team members, supervisors and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Provide personalised service by adhering to ***** food & beverage standards, engaging with our guests and creating memorable experiences for them. 
  2. Ensure and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all supplies, equipment, work and guest areas to guarantee comfort and safety of our guests.
  3. Follow the correct process and procedures for food orders, including taking food and beverages orders from guests, accurately writing orders on slips and entering orders into Micros system for transmittal to kitchen staff.
  4. Learn the ***** food and beverage menu in order to answer questions about menu items, make food/beverage/wine recommendations on request, inform customers on daily specials.
  5. Follow ***** service standards (e.g. ***** Points of Service in Table Management), including serving the orders appropriately and efficiently, continuously monitoring the needs of the guest, ensuring that guest orders are satisfactory, and taking action to solve problems, which includes referring to a higher authority, if necessary.
  6. Subject to situation, perform food preparation duties, which may include the following: garnishing and decorating dishes; preparing salads, appetizers and cold dishes; portioning desserts; brewing coffee; preparing hot and cold drinks; and chilling beverages.
  7. Serve beverages according to outlet service standards, including ensuring wines are correctly chilled, serving beverages in the appropriate glasses, pouring wine for tasting, and proactively filling/replenishing beverage orders. 
  8. Manage bills and payments, including preparing bills with accurate total meal costs and taxes, presenting bills, and collecting payments from customers.
  9. Provide guests with information about sister outlets as well as local areas when asked, including giving directions.
  10. Ensure that tables are cleared and reset promptly and according to ****** service standards, which includes polishing crockery, glassware and silver to remove all marks.
  11. Stock service areas with supplies to ensure that sufficient supplies are available for each shift and/or sitting, which includes stocking coffee, food, linens and tableware as well as re-filling salt, pepper, sugar, cream and condiments.
  12. Complete the restaurant opening or closing checklists and other duties assigned by the direct supervisor. 
  13. Answer the phone and collect accurate contact information of the guest. 
  14. Participate in training and demonstrate learning, including ****** Induction and Training. 

Ideal Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Hospitality/F&B and Customer service 
  • Knowledge of sanitation requirements and food/beverage handling standards (HACCP)
  • Knowledge of restaurant operational procedures and government regulations
  • Basic knowledge in food, beverage and wine, if applicable
  • Excellent English skills, Arabic skills are beneficial
