Job Responsibilities:

1. Creating and curating an exceptional wine list that complements the restaurant’s cuisine and enhances the overall dining experience.
2. Advising guests on wine selections based on taste preferences, food pairings, and occasion.
3. Presenting and serving wines professionally and confidently in line with fine dining standards.
4. Maintaining appropriate inventory levels, conducting regular stock takes, and ensuring proper wine storage.
5. Training front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and food pairings.
6. Collaborating with chefs and management to create food and wine pairing menus for regular service and special events.
7. Monitoring wine sales and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and guest satisfaction.
8. Developing relationships with wine suppliers and vendors to source premium selections and negotiate favorable terms.
9. Organizing wine tastings, pairing dinners, and promotional events to engage guests and promote the wine program.
10. Ensuring compliance with local laws and licensing requirements related to alcohol service.
11. Keeping up to date with industry trends, regional vintages, and new wine producers.
