Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
- Overseeing all front and back-of-the-house restaurant operations.
- Ensuring guests’ satisfaction through promoting excellent services.
- Communicating any necessary information to the concerned head office department.
- Providing guests with accurate information on the restaurant’s menu, specialties, and current promotions.
- Upselling a variety of products to the guests to maximize sales.
- Ensuring that all orders are prepared and served according to the established standards and presentation.
- Ensuring that different sections of the restaurant are well-stocked and all the necessary equipment and accessories are well-maintained.
- Responding to guests’ complaints tactfully and professionally.
- Ensuring that orders are prepared in a timely manner, orders are checked for accuracy, and serving as a liaison between the chefs, servers, and guests.
- Maintaining quality control for all food served.
- Analyzing staff evaluations and feedback to improve the guests’ experience.
- Overseeing health code compliance and sanitation standards.
- Looking for ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs.
- Generating daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Training new and existing employees and managers.
- Attending meetings.
- Ensuring that all items are labeled accordingly.
- Spotting items that are about to expire or go out of stock.
- Motivating the staff to work harder.
- Supervising the tasks of the employees.
- Preparing staff work schedules.
- Attending and reminding the employees to attend basic food hygiene and work safety training programs.
- Carrying out other related tasks and responsibilities.
