Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing procurement of all bar supply requirements on time and within budget.
- Assisting in managing the restaurant’s operations.
- Managing staff schedules.
- Creating new and unique menu items.
- Mixing, garnishing, presenting, and serving drinks according to standard specifications.
- Creating and ensuring that the opening and closing checklists are followed.
- Making recommendations and answering all related inquiries.
- Responding to guests’ orders, questions, requests, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
- Observing relevant health and safety standards.
- Maintaining complete knowledge of all our foods and beverages, outlets, services, and hours of operation.
- Managing the bar team and ensuring that all target sales are met.
- Training new and existing staff.
- Recording drink orders accurately into the register system.
- Peeling, slicing, and pitting fruits for garnishing drinks.
- Serving snacks to guests seated at the bar.
- Arranging glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays.
- Ensuring clean glasses, bar equipment, and working areas.
- Complying with all health and safety procedures.
- Monitoring inventory and informing the procurement team about products that are about to go out of stock or expire.
- Ordering and restocking bar inventory.
- Checking products for quality and identifying damaged goods.
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves, so that they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Attending basic food hygiene and work safety training programs.
- Ensuring that all utensils and equipment are functional and well-maintained.
- Ensuring that guests’ requests and preferences on their orders are being followed.
- Receiving and processing guests’ payments.
- Keeping records of transactions.
- Cashing out the servers during and/or at the end of each shift.
- Responsible for all restaurant administrative tasks.
- Assisting the Human Resource Department.
- Acting as an intermediary between the Human Resource Department and the restaurant.
- Supporting the HR Department with administrative duties.
- Coordinating with the Finance Department when required.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and daily reports.
- Carrying out other related tasks.
