Key Responsibilities

• Order Management:

  • Take precise food and beverage orders, often using a Point of Sale (POS) system. 
  • Communicate orders accurately to kitchen staff. 

• Service Delivery:

  • Deliver food and drinks to guest tables. 
  • Ensure food is presented correctly and meets quality standards. 

• Payment Processing:

  • Provide checks and process bill payments accurately. 

• Table & Station Maintenance:

  • Set and maintain tables with proper cutlery, glasses, and runners. 
  • Clear used dishes and glassware, and clean tables. 
  • Keep the dining area neat and clean. 

• Customer Satisfaction:

  • Handle customer complaints and requests promptly and efficiently. 
  • Observe guests to anticipate their needs and ensure satisfaction. 

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed. 

• Health & Safety:

  • Follow all relevant health department regulations and maintain hygiene standards. 
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation. 

• Guest Interaction:

  • Answer questions about menu items, including ingredients, preparation, and potential allergens. 
  • Make recommendations for menu items and specials. 
  • Greet guests, guide them to their tables, and provide menus.
