Job Overview:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks to customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves ensuring a high standard of customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and complying with all health and safety regulations. The Bartender will work closely with other bar staff to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drink Preparation and Service:
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Take orders from guests, provide recommendations, and offer a high level of customer service.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.

• Customer Interaction:
  • Greet guests warmly and interact with them in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Build rapport with regular patrons and create a welcoming atmosphere.

• Bar Maintenance and Cleanliness:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
  • Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, equipment, and glassware.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are in good working order and properly maintained.

• Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the Bar Manager or Head Bartender when supplies are running low.
  • Assist in receiving and storing bar supplies and beverages.
  • Minimize waste and control costs by following proper portion control and storage procedures.

• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure the bar operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including licensing and health and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other bartenders, barbacks, and serving staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assist in training new bar staff as needed.

•   Marketing and Promotion:
  • Promote special events, happy hours, and other promotions to increase sales.
  • Participate in creating and updating the bar menu with new cocktails and drink specials.
  • Engage guests with knowledge about the beverages and specials offered.

Requirements and Skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and cash handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mixology and beverage trends
