Job Description

To supervise bar operations; reports to the Cluster General Manager. To ensure that the bar staff provides positive customer experiences. Ensure team welfare. Prepare and service beverages for servers and guests in a speedy, efficient, friendly and professional manner.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must have knowledge of and be able to operate all equipment related to the venue, including, but not limited to, coffee maker and cash terminal.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards.
  • Knowledge of UAE  laws, ordinances and regulations and restaurant policy regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated Guests.
  • Additional to the beverage, must have excellent food, wine and cigar knowledge.
  • Must follow the company grooming standards and maintain the hygiene at the workplace.
  • Performs all necessary tasks to service beverages according to the standards of restaurant.
  • Conducts weekly training sessions on cocktail techniques, beverage pouring practice, employee development, guest service and work efficiency.
  • Works towards the timely set up of the bar areas and the completion of all mise en place works, in line with the opening hours.
  • Set up the bar at the beginning of a shift and break it down at the end of a shift.
  • Ensures that HACCP system is followed without excuses at all times.
