OPENING: ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER & SOMMELIER
Reporting to Head of Hospitality, Wine, and Beverage.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTRATION

  • Manage the training and development of the floor team: Develop and implement training programs for all floor staff. Ensure that all staff are trained in restaurant policies and procedures, as well as food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Interview, hire, schedule, and discipline the dining room team & guest relations team: Conduct interviews for open positions on the dining room team and guest relations team. Make hiring decisions based on the candidate's experience, skills, and fit for the role. Create and maintain employee schedules. Discipline employees as needed, in accordance with company policies.

  • Assist with managing special events with the guest relations department.

  • Work with the Head of Hospitality to track and control checks, costs, and other expenses. Identify areas where costs can be reduced without sacrificing quality or customer service.

SERVICE

  • Oversee all aspects of service, including those in the dining room, bar, and private dining rooms.

  • Uphold all standards of the restaurant, including service, appearance, and conduct.

  • Develop relationships with guests.

  • Actively participate in service

  • Overlook Wine service and upselling

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1+ years of management experience | Commitment to excellence and hospitality | 3+ years of fine dining experience | WSET Level 2 or equivalent.
