Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within Qazaq Group’s Food and Beverage brands (Bakerist). The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence by streamlining production and service workflows, maintaining food quality and safety standards, optimising supply chains, and ensuring smooth coordination across departments. This role requires strong leadership, high attention to detail, and a passion for delivering consistent and scalable operational results.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across production, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and customer service within Qazaq Group outlets.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, FSSAI).
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational systems, processes, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Lead strategic supply chain planning, vendor negotiations, and inventory control.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate data-driven reports on performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, HR, and finance to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
  • Manage operational budgets, forecasts, and implement cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Drive recruitment, training, and supervision of operations staff, promoting a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges while maintaining service excellence.
  • Support leadership with planning, communication, and execution of business strategies across brands.
  • Implement and manage ERP or operations software systems for enhanced data transparency and workflow efficiency.
  • Occasionally assist with high-level coordination or support tasks that cross into executive business management (in sync with Qazaq Group’s lean, hands-on leadership style).

 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management, preferably within the F&B or hospitality sector.
  • In-depth understanding of food production, safety compliance, logistics, and F&B service operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to align and inspire teams around business goals.
  • Russian language skills are a plus (given the group's multicultural team and market focus).

Work conditions :
