Lead Shop Floor Supervisor GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 Essex We are working with an establish engineering company who due to continued growth and an increasing order book, they have asked us to invite applications for the position of Lead Shop Floor Supervisor to join their highly skilled team. To supervise the shop floor and tool stores and to liaise closely with supporting departments. Main Responsibilities To maintain shop floor discipline Ensure machines are set and operated as efficiently as possible. To provide help and assistance to section supervisors. Efficient running of the tool stores. Machine maintenance and reporting of breakdowns. Maximise machine efficiency and utilisation. To ensure delivery targets are achieved. To ensure company quality procedures and requirements are followed and maintained. Assisting training of new and existing staff To Ensure all Health & Safety and Environmental obligations are met. Skills and Attributes Required Good organisational skills Management and planning skills Good communication skills at all levels Able to work under pressure Able to lead by example Adaptable to change Flexible with a willingness to learn new techniques Qualifications or knowledge required Good engineering knowledge Time served in a similar environment.
